Festival Graffiti News

Street art Association Urban arranges an event at Kuopio within a few weeks. On August 27th, to be more exact. And I’m happy to announce that I’m also invited! I’ll be sharing a wall with Raw Deal comrades. It’s been a while since the last time with these fellas, so I’m looking forward to it!

More info about the event from the website of the association.

Kerafest, Espoo

Art Festival Graffiti Mural Street Art

Kerafest event takes place on July 30th at Kera area, Espoo. That’s less than two weeks to go! The place is a former logistics center and I can’t emphasize enough how huge the area really is! These days the place holds many events and activities and many of the large walls in the area have been painted with various street art during the last few years.

I am invited to paint at the Kerafest event with fellow graffiti writers Charles Liquor and Punish. Gotta say that I’m looking forward to it, the styles those dudes drop are phenomenal!

More info about the place.

Seinäjoki Graffitilandia

Art Exhibition Festival Graffiti Mural News Street Art

As if two rounds of Wasa Graffitilandia last year weren’t enough, the organizers behind the event managed to expand the event to nearby (about 75km) city of Seinäjoki! Last week I visited the place with my crew mate Soved and we managed to leave our humble marks on the spot. So, once the event opens to public, you’ll be able to see them and bunch of other jaw dropping artwork by various artists, both domestic and abroad. And trust me, the participating artists this year are more than you could expect!

And yes, the 3rd round of Wasa Graffitilandia does take place at the same time. And just maybe there’s something small from us over there too…

Check out the Seinäjoki Graffitilandia website!

Wasa Graffitilandia, round two

Art Exhibition Festival Graffiti Mural Street Art

Wasa Graffitilandia is an outdoor art exhibition in an abandoned amusement park in Vaasa, Finland. Over 100 artists took part in filling the place with all sorts of art during the summer 2021 and the venue was open for public for the late summer ’til it closed its doors. But since the event was a success and the place itself is huge, the organisers announced that round two for the event would take place later this year. I was lucky enough to be invited for this event as well. If all goes as planned, it’s less than a week when I’ll be there.

During the first round I did a bunch of small pieces in the area, for the second round… well, I am not sure yet, I’m sure I’ll come up with something. Maybe even something different than during the previous round…

Copenhagen calls, again!

Festival Graffiti News Street Art

Later this month I have the pleasure of painting at 2021 edition of Meeting of Styles. In Copenhagen, Denmark. The last time I participated in the actual event in Copenhagen was back in 2016. That was also my first ever Meeting of Styles event. Well, ok, I did participate last years remote edition too, but due to travelling restrictions related to COVID19, my input took place from the safety of my own country.

Another Demolition Art project is about to take place at Kerava later this year. I have the honour of being one of the many selected artists that are about to create art on the spot during the spring and early summer of 2020.

More about this event from the Purkutaide-website at http://www.purkutaide.com as well as the various social media platforms.

Bubbling under

Art Featured Festival Graffiti

After rather active summer and early autumn I’ve taken a bit slower on the actual graffiti painting front. Intentionally, I might add. Because the remnants of 2018 I’ve been busy planning the coming year of 2019. As well as painting some back patches and t-shirts for both Christmas sales as promotional use. And of course painting as much canvases as possible for future exhibitions.

Payback Jam 2018

Art Featured Festival Graffiti

Payback Jam is a hip hop event that takes place in Jyväskylä, Finland. This year in the middle of the town, Kauppalaispiha to be more precise.

And why am I posting about this..? Well, in addition to rap music, street dancers, parkour and whatnot there’s also live graffiti painting on the spot. For example by a local writer, Rives, whom I think happens to be one of the best stylewriters in Finland at the moment. Seriously. Check the dude out! But yes, I will be painting there too.

So, be there or be… something. And if you decide to just be something, at least check out the FB-event and Insta-accounts of the organiser. If possible, I’ll try to post something from the event as well. Most likely on my Insta-account.

Meeting of Styles Wiesbaden

Art Featured Festival Graffiti

Last year I had the priviledge to participate in Meeting of Style‘s Copenhagen’s event. This year I will be painting at Meeting of Styles, again. But not in Copenhagen but in Wiesbaden, Germany. And with my Raw Deal crewmate and long time friend mr. Psyke. And what’s even more cool is that compared to many other Meeting of Styles’ events, where participants get to paint their individual pieces, we’ll be painting a group wall instead. Accompanied by three other writers from around the world. Writers we’ve never met before. Now talk about challenge! But we are so looking forward to the event.

Need I say that if you wanna follow up the happening in real time, go and check out both the Facebook-page as well as Instagram-profile‘s of the event. And yes, Psyke and Yours Truly will try to update our personal IG/FB accounts as well during the event.

Meeting of Styles Copenhagen

Art Featured Festival Graffiti

I’ll be participating this years Int. Meeting of Styles event at Copenhagen. This is truly an honour for me. The festival is the biggest graffiti event worldwide, held annually in over 20 countries. And the skills of the participants are unbelievable so I know I need to pull my 110%. Come to think of it, I am not sure how many (if any?) finnish graffiti artists have participated in the MOS events outside Finland prior to me.

Expect bunch of photos after the event. And if you are interested to follow the event almost in real time, I suggest you follow their Facebook-page or Instagram-profile. I try to update my Instagram-profile from the event as well but I know my focus will be on the actual painting, not documenting it.

To see the complete flyer, click here and my photos here.
